Attorney Julia Hogan was admitted to practice in 1998. Her education consisted of attendance to high school, undergraduate school, and graduate school. She attended Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy for high school. After high school, she attended St. Joseph’s College in Maine. In 1993, she received her B.A. from St. Joseph’s College.
In 1998, she received her J.D. and graduated cum laude from Suffolk Law. While studying at Suffolk Law School, she was the managing editor of the Transnational Law Review. The Suffolk Transnational Law Review prepares for publication a professional journal that is focused on public and private international law, international institutions, international legal events, and developments in the law of the world economic community. As the managing editor, attorney Julia Hogan was responsible for everything from the editorial review of article submissions to editing articles. She acquired a skill for finding high quality research, greatly supporting her studies in law.
For over 20 years, Attorney Julia Hogan’s primary focus has been on litigation. She also has experience in real estate and in probate proceedings. She has extensive trial experience, having practiced in both District Court and Superior Court jury trials. Attorney Julia Hogan has been the lead counsel on dozens of successful jury trials. In complex civil litigation matters, the lead trial counsel is essentially the captain of the ship. As lead counsel, Attorney Julia Hogan oversaw all aspects of the presentation at trial. She was tasked with making crucial decisions about the scope and sequence of evidence to be presented.
She is well versed in all aspects of trial preparation, including depositions, discovery and motion practices. She resides in Milton with her family, and plays golf in her spare time. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
